Through written and oral presentations, roundtable discussions, weekly summary reports and work at your host employer’s location, you’ll gain a more comprehensive understanding of business as you acquire practical experience, expand your professional network and perhaps even land a pre-graduation job offer.

At Florida Tech, you can build leadership and professional experience in student government and over 200 other academic organizations, clubs and honor societies, such as:

Future Business Leaders of American (FBLA) - Inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders through leadership development, education, community service and academic competitions.

Prelaw Society - Supports the academic, professional and social development of members interested in law careers with networking, mentorship and educational activities.

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Florida Tech - Helps students learn more about effective human resource management and career opportunities.

Accelerated business programs offered by the college provide focused students the opportunity to finish their business degree(s) faster compared with a standard-paced approach.

Options include completing the B.S. in business administration degree in three years or completing the B.S. plus the MBA in four years (3+1) or five (4+1). Students work with their advisor to design a program plan that fulfills all degree requirements.

Business administration students at Florida Tech have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of projects and studies. Many of these efforts are later entered into national competitions. Students have participated in projects and competitions such as:

The Center for Entrepreneurship and New Business Development (CENBD) promotes partnerships among students, faculty, community members and entrepreneurs. It encompasses the Student Business Incubator and other education and support for entrepreneurs.

The Center for Ethics and Leadership fosters ethical behavior and effective leadership through research, discussions and events like conferences, guest speakers, publications and student competitions.

The Center for Innovation Management and Business Analytics (CIMBA) is an interdisciplinary center for research and education related to the science, management and practice of innovation and business analytics.
