The Finance B.S.

Finance focuses on the study of money, investments and other financial instruments.

Analyzing and planning financial activities such as budgeting, investing, lending, borrowing, saving and forecasting are crucial for achieving economic stability and growth. Financial analysts gather and dissect data to guide investment decisions, identifying market trends and opportunities while using formulas and statistical analysis to calculate risk and potential outcomes.

The B.S. in finance prepares students for careers in trade, finance and roles within businesses, non-profits and government. You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of investments, capital budgeting and risk analysis, as well as global financial issues such as currency fluctuations, exchange rate risk and multinational investment.

The degree curriculum starts with an overview of global business, followed by study of emerging markets and financial globalization. Through the X-Culture project you can get first-hand experience working with a global virtual student team, completing a comprehensive business project for a multinational company. The Nathan M. Bisk College of Business is dedicated to fostering ethical decision-making and educating leaders who make thoughtful decisions, set high standards and promote corporate accountability.
